TEotW movie?

Imdb.com has a listing for Eye of the World - check it out here: Eye of the World. Unfortunately it only has a tentative date as 2011. What are your opinions on turning this into a series of movies? I, for one, am very resistant. Unless, of course, Peter Jackson directs them.

Of course the rumor mill is in full swing. People are saying Peter Stromare will be playing Lan -- IMDB Pofile. This would be horrible. His most famous role was as the Russian cosmonaut in Armageddon. This guy looks nothing like the Lan that I've imagined. Being Lan is my favorite character, they better do some serious makeup and costume on this guy to pass him off as the deadly Warder. I'm just hoping this rumor isn't true.
