Chapter 3: The Peddler Empty Chapter 3: The Peddler

Obviously this is the chapter that Padan Fain comes to the Two Rivers. One funny comment occurred when Fain was telling the boys about the False Dragon:
“Not all the stories say they serve the Dark One, Rand.”
“Light, Mat,” Rand said, “they caused the Breaking. What more do you want?”

Mat defending the Aes Sedai as he does here won’t last very long…That RJ was a clever fellow.

There is also a funny exchange that takes place between Rand and Egwene:
“I daydream sometimes, but I know the difference between daydreams and what’s real.”
“And I do not?” she said furiously, promptly turning her back on him.
(…) She jerked her cloak around her. A wall to shut him off.

This is obviously a hint about Egwene's abilities as a dreamwalker. And now that I have put this out there I wonder if this is a possible hint to the end of the story. Could Egwene be the one to shut Rand down before he goes crazy.

Sanderson said in the podcast I linked to that there's a "holy crap" moment for a particularly important character. I still think Rand's fate is sealed. Time is circular in this world, therefore look at Lews Therin's death in the prologue. It's all there.
